At Spectrum Therapy Australia, our Social Connection Programs offer a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where children, teens, and young adults can learn, practise, and strengthen the social and emotional skills they need to thrive.
Led by our clinicians and therapy assistants, these programs combine evidence‑informed strategies with fun, creative activities — helping participants connect with others, build confidence, and feel supported as they navigate social situations.
We believe every child and young person deserves a place where they can laugh, play, and feel understood. Our groups are designed to meet diverse communication styles, sensory needs, and learning preferences, ensuring everyone can participate in ways that feel comfortable and empowering.

Our Social Connection Programs are small‑group, therapist‑led sessions that support children and young people to build meaningful relationships, practise social communication, and develop emotional and behavioural skills in a supportive environment.
Using creative, play‑based and interest‑based approaches — including storytelling, arts and crafts, group games, role‑play, movement activities, and collaborative challenges — we help participants learn social skills in ways that feel natural, fun, and engaging.
These programs are ideal for children and teens who benefit from structured social opportunities, gentle guidance, and a predictable environment where they can learn at their own pace.
The Spectrum Therapy team is as diverse as they come — speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, exercise physiologists, and therapy assistants. They’re not just experts, they’re the secret sauce behind our whole-child approach.
We offer more services, including intensives and other specialised programs.
Navigating the physical world is more than just playing on the monkey bars! OT helps teach essential life skills, like writing, using the bathroom, dressing independently, and emotion regulation and sensory difficulties.
Many of us take communication for granted, but its subtleties can be tricky for others. Our speech-language pathologists help your child master these language nuances and develop their social skills.
Therapy can benefit anyone, but for individuals with autism, it can be transformative. We provide a safe space to address big emotions, helping your child find calm, clarity, and confidence.
A diagnosis is more than a label. It’s an explanation. Understanding your child’s diagnosis is the first step to unlocking the right support and resources they need.
There’s no better way for your child to master friendship skills than in an interactive setting! This gives your child a fun and engaging opportunity to practise social interactions in a supportive environment.
